Spatial forms / interaction

More info: matsnonsense.blogspot.com

Spatial interaction. Using perspective warp to get a more accurate positional data from "cctv" - footage. When tracking position in video recording the output data is subject to the same perspective as the source footage. By distorting the perspective to be more top down we can get a more accurate position.

Perspective warp and motion tracking done with openCV, object distortion done with Openframeworks.

By compressing the space down to "crystal shapes" I wanted to create a alternative representation of the room and use the positional data to distort the textures and forms.

This is simply a prototype where the goal was to create a "sculptural representation" of a space, for example a store, and use security footage as input.

Work in progress, add more stuff here.
